Todd Anderson (Josh Hamilton) spends his days managing a customer call center for American novelty products in Seattle, until his job, along with those of the entire office, are outsourced to India. Adding insult to injury, Todd must travel to India to train his new replacement. As he lands in India, Todd is assaulted by the sights and sounds of a completely different culture. Navigating through the chaos of Bombay, Todd must train the most unlikely team in the ways of America and American novelty products. Between accent and culture training to education on the cheesehead hat and hot dog toaster, Todd frantically tries to increase the effectiveness of the Indian office, so that he can return home to Seattle. However, it is through his team of quirky yet likable Indian call center workers, including his friendly and motivated replacement, Puro (Asif Basra), and the charming, opinionated Asha (Ayesha Dharker) that Todd realizes that he too has a lot to learn--not only about India and America, but about himself. Todd soon discovers that being outsourced may be the best thing that ever happened to him.

Web 2.0

Web 2.o refers to a perceived second generation of web-based communities and hosted services — such as social-networking sites, wikis and folksonomies — which aim to facilitate collaboration and sharing between users. The term became popular following the first O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004. Although the term suggests a new version of the World Wide Web, it does not refer to an update to any technical specifications, but to changes in the ways software developers and end-users use the web. According to Tim O'Reilly, "Web 2.0 is the business revolution in the computer industry caused by the move to the internet as platform, and an attempt to understand the rules for success on that new platform."

Some technology experts, notably Tim Berners-Lee, have questioned whether one can use the term in a meaningful way, since many of the technology components of "Web 2.0" have existed since the early days of the Web.

Its all to all a different experience of web technology. You can say like "floating pages"

Child Labour

Even after the government declaring that Child Labour below the 14 age group is punishable by the law, it still continues in every corner of the country. Tomorrow the 9th of October is declared a Orissa Bandh to make the people aware of Child Labour. The bandh unlike its contemporaries when in the past had closed down shutters of all the shops and public/private buildings would be a peaceful one. There won't be any closure of any buildings or shops rather the people have been asked to make others aware of child labour. The bandh has been declared by the NGOs working for the upliftment of the children.

When children are seen as the future citizens of Modern India, why are they still put to work? I would say, the government has'nt done much for the upliftment of the poor people. Being poor they resort to begging and other cheap labour. Since the money not being enough to run the house the children are next seen to be the extra bread earners of the house. Its the governments apathy towards the poor people even when they provide free education to the small kids. If the government is to do anything.. it has to enforce laws that are strictly followed. It should also ensure that the down-trodden people get employment and healthcare facilities.
